The new ConAgra oat mill includes a 12,000-bushel-per-hour truck/rail receiving system to the 250,000-bushel oat storage elevator and 750,000-bushel annex. Oats are cleaned, dehulled, processed, and stored in a mill building which measures 64 foot by 119 foot by 103 foot high.

Finished product is shipped in bag or to bulk rail or trucks. The two oat storage structures and the mill are constructed of slipformed concrete. The office, warehouse, receiving, loadout, and boiler buildings are precast concrete structures. This design/build project was on a “crash” schedule and required a substantial amount of double shifting.
